This beauty was actually obtained from a local  artisan in a tiny village, who lovingly carved it as a toy for his daughter. She instead very carefully preserved it. Notice the marks of age at the edges. These were not artificially created to give it a look of antiquity. This Howdah IS actually an old, carefully preserved, cherished gift.
